Evening: Psalm 42, 43; John 11:28-44
God’s
Covenant with Israel is for everyone: “I will put my law within them,
and … write it on their hearts … they shall all know me, from the least
of them to the greatest.” The mercy of God is big enough to make
available to all humankind “the depth of the riches and wisdom and
knowledge of God”. All the stunning wonder of the cosmos is as near to
us as our hearts! I am still astounded by this … the Love that weeps at a
friend’s grave is the same Love that gives life to all things!
