Evening: Psalm 51; John 3:22-36
The
idea that the Creator of the universe had a special love for the people
of Israel was extended to include all people because of Jesus.
Christians call Jesus, “Very God of very God … made man.” That’s
astounding! John says: “He whom God has sent (Jesus) speaks the words
of God.” If I believe God was made man, it makes all the difference to
how I live in the world. Deuteronomy teaches we should love and serve
God by loving and serving the stranger. If God is present in one man,
God is present in all.
