Evening: Psalm 73; Mark 9:2-13
What
is our work in the world? Here’s a hint, God said about Jesus, “This
is my Son … Listen to him!” Soon after, Jesus challenged those who did
evil in the temple, quoting Isaiah: “My house shall be a house of prayer
for all peoples.” Think, for a moment, of the earth as God’s ‘house’.
We, led by the Spirit, are agents on earth of love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and
self-control. Imagine it! … God is rebuilding his house, using our
hands. Let heaven and earth praise him!
